The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3’s retail packaging was recently leaked, revealing a significant design change: the inclusion of stems, according to a report. The South Korean tech giant is expected to launch these true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds alongside its flagship foldable smartphones at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, rumored to take place in July. This development aligns with previous suggestions from several tipsters that Samsung may introduce a design overhaul to its TWS earbuds series this year.

Industry sources, as reported by 91Mobiles, have shared several images of the Galaxy Buds 3’s retail box. These images suggest that Samsung will indeed incorporate stems into the design of its new TWS earbuds, similar to the Apple AirPods Pro. The box also features AKG branding, indicating that Samsung’s collaboration with the renowned acoustics engineering company continues.

On the back of the retail box, a “Made in China” tag is visible, along with several specifications of the TWS earbuds. This report supports a previous claim where a user shared an alleged screenshot of the Samsung Members app, showcasing new iconography of the earbuds on social media. This development also corroborates claims by seasoned tipster Evan Blass, who suggested that both the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro might feature stems—a design element previously absent from Samsung’s flagship TWS earbuds.

Expected Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Buds 3

The leaked retail box of the Galaxy Buds 3 hints at several key specifications. It is reported that the earbuds will offer up to 6 hours of playback on a single charge. However, it is unclear if this duration includes Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). If so, this would surpass the battery life of their predecessor, the Galaxy Buds 2, which offers up to 5 hours of music playback with ANC enabled.

Additionally, the retail box claims that the Galaxy Buds 3 will feature quick charging functionality, providing one hour of playback from just 10 minutes of charging. The TWS earbuds will also come with “adjustable secure-fit earhooks” and offer sweat and water resistance, enhancing their usability during workouts and in various weather conditions.
